Emerald Field
A wall that changes colour as the room lights it
“Green is the hardest colour to hold still. Six panels, each polished a little differently, so the wall changes as the afternoon does.”
Six panels of Emerald Green, cut sequentially from the same block and hung in the order they were sawn, so the vein migrates across the wall in one continuous movement.
The surface is polished to different depths panel by panel. Under raking light the wall reads as a single plane; head-on, it separates into six.
